Our Design Process
Every custom home project we build is unique. We do not recommend the use of ‘stock’ plans available for purchase online. Instead, we encourage clients to go through the custom plans process to design their custom home. Working with each homeowner, this design process assures the finished product is exactly what was envisioned from the start. Our unique relationship with you – Concept to Completion – is the process that allows us to guarantee perfection with every home we build.
The first step is the interview to make sure we understand exactly what you desire to accomplish. Every family has different needs, desires & dreams, our job is to work with you and make them reality. The comfort, style and function of your home starts with the initial planning and overall concept. When JMS is involved in the early stages of the project, you may ‘rest easy,’ knowing the project will be completed just as initially envisioned.
As the process evolves, we work with you, the designer, architect, and other team members to make sure the concept is solid, can be built within your budget, and will produce the results you desire. Our ability to communicate clearly with all team members is the key to successful results. We don’t just ‘step-in from time to time’ during the design process! We are very involved at all times to make sure what is being proposed can be built within your budget, on schedule and most of all, with quality workmanship in mind.
No surprises. If your project needs to be modified or changed for any reason upon your request, we make sure it’s done correctly. Changes can modify the budget, schedule, delay approvals, stall permits, and even change the engineering on your home. We communicate every change, modification, or update with you and make sure we have your signed approval if there is any change to the budget or finished product.
No matter what type of home you are considering, our focus and attention to detail is thorough.
